About us

The Victoria Memorial School for the Blind (VMSB) is an institution dedicated to the education, training and empowerment of visually impaired boys. The school offers its students – most of who are from low-income families – free of cost holistic education, a range of vocation-based training programmes, extra-curricular activities such as training in music and handicrafts, and boarding and lodging.

The VMS Learning Centre and The VMS-Vijay Merchant Centre for Life Skills and Development offer children with special needs a ray of hope through and interactive learning programmes and life-skill therapies that empower special children to grow into self-reliant adults.

Our vision

To encourage, nurture and develop differently abled individuals;
to empower them to take their place in the world as confident, productive adults.
